Next, divide the square into four equal parts by drawing two lines diagonally across the middle of the square. Then, in each quarter of the square, draw a smaller square inside. This will be your playing area. Finally, choose a player and give them four counters (pieces of candy or small coins work well).
The object of the game is to move your counters around the board until they are all in your home space. Players take turns moving their counters one space at a time. They can move in any direction – forwards, backwards, sideways or diagonally. If you land on another player's counter, you must take one of their counters and put it back in their home space. If you land on one of your own counters, then you can leave it there or move it back to your home space. The first player to move all their counters into their home space wins!
There are lots of ways to make the game more interesting. For example, you could use different coloured markers to represent each player's counters.
